Farm Team

Farm Team

A grassroots program that engages the agriculture community in the public process. FARM TEAM makes taking action easy!  As a web-based program, you will receive e-mail Action Alerts that allow you to send letters and participate in activities that protect family farms and ranches.  It's as easy as clicking your mouse and typing your name.  Once you're signed up the rest is easy!

Ag in the Classroom

Ag in the Classroom

Reaching out to children during school tours and going out to schools, Stanislaus County Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom teaches children where their food and fiber comes from and the importance of agriculture in their lives. Call the Farm Bureau today to schedule a visit in the classroom or a presenter at your local Ag Day. There are many resources available at the Farm Bureau, for both teachers and students.

Farm Safety 4 Just Kids

Farm Safety 4 Just Kids

The mission of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids is to promote a safe farm environment to prevent health hazards, injuries, and fatalities to children and youth.

Stanislaus County is one of the few Farm Safety 4 Just Kids Chapter in the state. Activities include a Farm Safety section in the Farm News once a month, visits to schools on Ag days and the County fair to teach kids about farm safety. FS4JK presentations reach over 209,000 children, parents, teachers and others not including the almost 4,000 reached monthly in the Farm News.

Safety Seminar

Stanislaus Safety Seminar

Stanislaus County Farm Bureau just hosted their 5th Annual Stanislaus Safety Seminar. This event is free to all members and is to educate growers and employees on current laws, regulations and safety standards in the industry. Continuing education hours and EPA blue card training is provided on this day. The Stanislaus Safety Seminar is usually held in early November, so check back then for more information.

Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers are active agriculturists like you--between the ages of 18 and 35 and involved in production, banking, business, and many other areas of the industry. Young Farmers and Ranchers develop leadership skills while volunteering time as active, vital members of the county Farm Bureaus.

10 days of Ag fun!

The Stanislaus County Farm Bureau has a long history of active participation at the Stanislaus County Fair. Stanislaus Farm Bureau and Stanislaus Farm Supply are a partner at the Junior Livestock Auction. You can also see Board Members passing out bottled water on those hot sale days to members of the community.

At the County Fair, Stanislaus County Farm Bureau manages the School Tours. This is a way to reach out to hundreds of children, young adults and adults. If you are interested in participating or volunteering in the School Tours,

Paving the future for agriculture

Stanislaus County Farm Bureau and its Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) committee is dedicated to helping build new leadership in Farm Bureau and agriculture, and as part of our efforts offer educational scholarships to ongoing agricultural majors at Modesto Junior College.

Contact the Farm Bureau today to get a scholarship application. Applications and Interviews are usually held March/ April.
