Farm Bureau works to ensure that farmers and ranchers will be able to continue to provide the world with a safe and affordable food supply. With farmers only being able to contribute 1 percent of the votes in a given community, we have become underrepresented in the government. Farm Bureau provides farmers with the representation needed at the local, state and national levels. From unfair legislation to simple animosity, farmers are more often attacked than acknowledged for the services they provide. Farm Bureau strives to show the truth about farming and farmers so as to preserve and protect agriculture.
Environmental issues are a concern for everyone and no one understands this more than the farmer. Farmers work with the land and the elements to provide food for the world and must be conscious and vigilant about ways to keep the enviroment healthy and self replenishing.
Whether it be about water, land, fire or air, Farm Bureau gives farmers the voice they deserve and offers their perspective to legislators and the public.
Agriculture is Stanislaus County's number one industry. We are ranked 7th in the State for income among all other counties.
